Matthew Way had the idea for "The Genital Warriors" in 2003 – within months, he got a team together and shot the first episode. Every nine months, a new team shot a new episode with new actors – and no money.
Way Film Production's first feature was shot over six years and needed another four for its extensive editing and postproduction.
Its official premiere took place at the 2014 Moscow International Film Festival, one of the best in the world.
Its cinematic release in Germany began in May of 2015, then spreading to Finland and finally the USA, where the Village Voice and New York Times reported.
Now it's been translated into 19 languages and is available in 103 countries on iTunes, Amazon and Google.

Way Film Production's second feature, "The 3rd Rail," is at the treatment stage. Matthew Way, the author, is working together with script advisors and plans on directing it himself. At the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, he was invited to take part in the Producer's Network in order to search for US-American coproduction partners.
"The 3rd Rail" is a unique high school drama set in the Northeastern USA with a gangsta rap and hip-hop soundtrack.
It has parallels to Akira Kurosawa's "Rashômon," Wim Wenders' "Wings of Desire," and was inspired by John Singleton's "Boyz n the Hood."
